Meet tEAM land
Taylor Land
Kim & Jay Land
Kim and Jay Land have been a dynamic duo for 40 years. Meeting on the horse show circuit as kids, they began dating at age 16 and have been together ever since. Kim grew up in Florida, breaking ponies and bringing along off the track thoroughbreds. She trained with Margie Engle and developed an incredible eye for picking jumper prospects and an intuitive training style. Jay grew up in Georgia and began working with Hungarian luminary Frank Gombolay as a teenager. Jay’s disciplined and analytical training style made him an incredible partner for Kim. The couple were both members of the gold medal team at the National Junior Jumper Championship as teens and began working together full time in their early 20s. Kim worked behind the scenes and raised three kids while supporting Jay’s international riding career. Jay went on to prestigious accomplishments such as winning the Hampton Classic Grand Prix, placing second in the Tampa Invitational Grand Prix, and competing at the World Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden. Kim and Jay have produced horses to the highest level of show jumping together for decades, and they trained Taylor and her sister, Frances, from ponies through Grand Prix level. Kim and Taylor now work together training juniors and amateurs to reach new heights in their riding careers.
